Pots

Pots can be difficult in dry, hot weather because the potting mix heats up and water is lost from the side of the pots.

Choosing large pots will help prevent evaporation. Use plastic or sealed terracotta to keep the water in where its needed.

Always use a good potting mix designed for tubs and pots and water crystals will help keep the soil moist. And don't forget to mulch your pots as well.

Watering cans and trigger hoses make watering pots easy and avoids wasting water between pots.
