There are fewer and fewer of us living on quarter-acre blocks these days and many of us only have a small courtyard to create our garden in. You can still do amazing things.
You need to really think about space in a courtyard and how you can get the most out of it without over-crowding. Often hedges can create a wall of green right round your courtyard without taking up too much space. You can then use potted plants and small garden beds for colour and contrast. Think about how to use paving and paths to add interest and spaces for you to rest and enjoy your little patch of paradise.
