A twist to the traditional – African Violets
African violets have a reputation for being granny plants...the sort of thing grandmothers everywhere have growing on their kitchen window sill. The retro look is in, so why not take a twist on the traditional and play on "grandma" plants. Mini African violets look as sweet as pie in '50s diner-style milkshake and coffee cups and will look as cute as a button on your window sill.
Native to East Africa, they were first successfully cultivated outside their native habitat in 1893. Today they are one of the world's most popular flowering indoor plants.
